Skaraborgsbygden is part of the Erna Group, which has a clear growth strategy for the coming years. We are located in Skaraborg, Dalsland, and Värmland. The core of our operations is our societal mission; to strengthen democracy and defend independent journalism.

About the role
Skaraborgsbygden has readers in all 15 municipalities in Skaraborg. We are strong when it comes to local reports and news. The large coverage area makes the work as a reporter exciting and developing. You must be prepared for all kinds of assignments; no two days are ever the same.

We are working with an increasing digital focus, and Skaraborgsbygden's website and app are updated regularly. The newspaper is published once a week in print. We are a small editorial team, and new colleagues usually feel welcome quickly. We ensure that you receive proper training. As a summer substitute, you will have significant responsibility for ensuring that the newspaper has good, relevant, and engaging reading material. With us, you can develop, have a fun summer, and contribute to important local journalism.

About you
We are looking for someone who is an educated journalist or perhaps currently studying journalism. If you have worked at a local newspaper before, that is a plus, and we see that you are knowledgeable, creative, and curious. You also need to be skilled in photography, filming, and publishing on social media.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
